Rope bridge attraction opens in Cornwall

A new 100-foot rope bridge, which is the biggest rope bridge in the UK, has opened at the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

The bridge has been described by visitors as like a scene from I’m A Celebrity or one of the Indiana Jones films – a daring challenge for the brave!

The crossing was made from over a mile of polyhemp rope and is hoped to draw in holidaymakers staying in holiday apartments to rent in Cornwall over the Easter holidays.

The new attraction at the Lost Gardens of Heligan only lets 10 people at a time cross the bridge for safety reasons, but visitors will not be disappointed as the rope bridge is suspended 22 feet above a jungle floor, as well as offering those brave enough to cross some stunning views.

Marketing manager of the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Lorna Tremayne, adds, “Since we opened the bridge up to visitors there has been a terrific reaction. We wanted something in keeping with the jungle experience and this really delivers.”
