Royal to visit Royal Cornwall Show

It has been revealed that the Countess of Wessex is set to visit this year’s Royal Cornwall Show.

Sophie, who is the wife of Prince Edward, will be at the showground in Wadebridge on the first two days of the event from June 5th-6th.

The Countess’ visit will include giving out awards to competition winners at the show as well as attending various other presentations.

The visit will be the Countess of Wessex’s first to the Royal Cornwall Show and organisers are expecting her visit to attract even more people to the popular event.

This could mean that nearby luxurious Cornwall coastal cottages and hotels could be fully-booked during the event, so attendees are being advised to book accommodation soon.

Colonel Edward Bolitho, who is the show’s Deputy President, will be showing Her Royal Highness around the showground and he is personally looking forward to this year’s Royal Cornwall Show.

He added, “It is up there with the best and is still a farming show – one that attracts large numbers of non-farmers as well.”
