Spaven Mor is a delightful little bolt-hole of a cottage in an
enchanting narrow street, the hanging baskets and window boxes up
and down its length making it a riot of colour in the summer months.
The cottage is well away from traffic yet just 500 yards from the
harbour and within easy walking distance of the huge variety of
shops, pubs and restaurants which St Ives has to offer. For the
artistically inclined, the new Tate Gallery, Barbara Hepworth's
house and garden, many art galleries and studios are also
nearby. Apart from its superb sandy beaches, ideal for swimming,
surfing, sailing and fishing, the Land's End peninsula offers
dramatically beautiful, coastal walks on the South West Coast Path.
By car, Land's End, St Michael's Mount (NT), The Lizard peninsula
and the Helford River are an easy drive.
Spaven Mor has been completely modernised by its owners. 'Though
small, it is attractively decorated and furnished with good use made
of space available; it is a real 'hideaway' for
two. |
